Jeremy P asked:

When republicans force Clinton not to spend they suddenly forget that. Is it they never give where credit is do but take credit for themselves.

If it wasn’t for the economy doing so well, what would we all remember Clinton for? His affair? His impeachment trials? The Whitewater scandal? Its the only thing they can credit him with, even through he had nothing to do with it.

Dave K Says:

Dude….step out of the time machine….

You guys lost the Clinton battle long ago…..

It is hilarious that you still want to fight it!

Another indication of the desperation and mean spiritedness of those on your side…..and speaking of the side….enjoy the sidelines for the next 8 years!

Not to mention that Clinton left us with a hefty surplus too. LOL

Remember that Clinton stood up to the Republican congress and used his power, to the point of shutting down the government, to push through his ideas of how the budget should be balanced. Clinton left office with budget surpluses, using the same accounting methods that Bush uses. There was a great deal of confidence in the country’s economic situation when Clinton was president. It is important to have good, strong leadership that represents the interests of the people.

Moose Says:

Because they deserve it.

When Republicans overspent revenues, see attached chart, they are blamed. Clinton staked out, and governed from, the middle. He deserves credit for his results, just like Bush deserves our loathing for what he has done to our economy.

You just know a Repuke could never balance the budget. LMAO. Conservative my ass.

Betsy Says:

Any rise or fall in the economy is due to EVERYone regardless of party, political office or lack thereof. If we don’t start taking responsibility for our choices as consumers it will only continue to go downhill.

Charles K Says:

Because they did a good job’ in spite of Bill Clinton’s little mistake.
Besides who else would you give credit to almost every time we have a democrat in office the economy is good. George has run us into the ground’ he’s got his millions to hell with the rest of us.

pacer Says:

For the life of me I could never understand this one. Clinton borrowed more money from social security that the three presidents before him did COMBINED. There is a total of 14 trillion borrowed from social security. How can anyone claim a balanced budget when they have borrowed so much money and never paid a dime of it back?

Mark F Says:

“Republicans forced Clinton not to spend money…”

Care to back that up. Keep in mind that these are the same Republican’s who, taking control of both the legislative and executive branches in 2001 had by 2006 run up $8 trillion in defecits while passing a tax plan that bankrupted the middle class and sent the economy into a tailspin.

RU Quazee Says:

That’s what they all do – Take the credit for the successful polices of their predecessor as with Clinton. Then the myrmidons vote the clown back in again while he’s coasting along on how good a job ‘he’s’ doing. The face in the white house also takes the fall, in Bush’s case, for the hostile tactics of the majority dems in power. And the ‘terrorist’ war. And the ‘anti-drug war’. and etc.
