Where should I start to seek student loan forgiveness for the disabled?

I have been on disability for several years and as a result of a judgment against me, my SS disability checks are being garnished. I know there is a system in place for this; just having a heck of a time finding it.

You would want to contact your lender directly. They would give you the information necessary as far as who to contact regarding loan forgiveness.

contact your lender and ask for a “total disability” deferment. They will know what you are talking about. IT is a form that you and your MD must sign.. It is a 1 time deal only. I had mine written off or d/c. GL
