What would be a company that’s good for building credit? I don’t have a credit history so I need a company that won’t deny me. Wells Fargo already denied me. Why, I don’t know. Anyway, help plz! I want to start building credit. Thanks.

Arlene Says:

There are cards that you put money into like a savings account and whatever you have in that account is your credit limit. You could also start with maybe a small store credit card but in order to build your credit make sure you pay the bill in full each month.

My Take on It Says:

How old are you?
If you are not 18, you cannot get a credit card
In February 2010, you will need to be 21 to get a credit card
If you do not have a job or meet the income requirements, you will not get a card

Sharon T Says:

If you are 18 and have a job or other verifiable income, apply for a “plain vanilla” credit card (MC or Visa) at your bank. If that is Wells Fargo, go into the branch in person and ask them to help you get this approved.

Do not just keep applying for other cards as that will hurt your credit history. The best place to apply is your bank or credit union–and be tenacious.

you can not get one tell your 21 as per the new law in 2010

or if your mom co-signs for you @ 18years of age

Your only choice is a Wellsfargo Secured Card

you need a deposit of 300$

just Wait tell your 21 like me

and they will hand you a Unsecured Credit card

i have TWO unsecured CREDIT CRADS WITH NO CREDIT history!

1900 Total credit limit only 225$ being used right now

and is going to be payed off in a day when i get to the bank

In my experience, I found credit cards to be sugar-coated poison.

Don’t get any of them. Want to build your credit? Pay the rent on time.

jlf Says:

Unless you are at least 18, you have no chance of getting a credit card on your own. Even then, it’ll be tough.

Jon Says:

you might want to get a student card it’s the easiest one to get.
you can go here to compare them, pick one that is right for u

Down To The Point Says:

Start off with a secured card, that way you won’t get turned down and you won’t get penalized before you even start.

If you put your money down for a secured deposit there’s no reason for them to deny you, they only deny people asking money and offering no guarantees of ever paying it back!
