I have my current loan through my bank, Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, but I want to trade my ’02 dodge Neon in for a 2005 Ford Escape, and my bank turned me down because my credit is so low. I have wanted this type of vehicle for years, but settled for the neon when I couldnt get the one I originally wanted. I only owe 3500 on the neon, and whatever was left from the trade would be tacked on the the 9900 for the escape. What bank will give me a car loan with my credit score a 455 and my boyfriend (he’s my co-sign) at over 700?

It might really save you some money to just get an automobile loan estimate on the web to verify what todays rates are. You might be totally happy. Also if your credit is not good, a lot of them are more able to help people.

What I most often tell folks is that an online quote at is the way to go.

With a 455 credit score and a current auto loan outstanding, trying to buy another car is nuts. You want to finance 100% of the Escape plus tack on your old loan balance? Does that sound realistic to you?

There is no way! Especially in this economy. I think you need to be focused on paying your bills on time and bettering your credit score than looking to getting a loan on a newer car. Just be happy with the one you have. It still runs, right?
