Student loan reported as late while i was in Deferment?

I contacted Sallie Mae, but they said there was nothing they could do to change it in my credit report.
I also filled a investigation with Equifax and it came back as verified. I completely lost as to what other options i have to get this corrected.
I so ticked off that this is hurting my credit. Is there anything else i can do to get this removed.

Well, your next step would be to use your Equifax dispute to request the documents/information Sallie Mae used to verify the dispute. Do it ASAP.
Then compare what they send you with what you have. If you can show that their dates are screwed up, send copies of what you have to Equifax and see what happens then.
I feel for you. Good luck, because they pretty much report whatever they want.
I’ve gone through similar stuff with two different lenders. I had one “lose” my forbearance paperwork and not send me anything for a month. Then I had another one lose my in-school deferment request because they typed my first name as “Heffrey” instead of “Jeffrey”, even though this mysterious “Heffrey” character had the same middle name, last name, SS#, mailing address, spouse, etc.
