Should I call the credit bereau regarding my deferment loan issue?
babydoll86 asked:
I am really worried and upset because I called about the status of my deferment application, but I was misinformed about how to fill out the application by two or three different people over the phone. As a result, they kept sending my application back to me. My student loan also includes a 15 day grace period and I am afraid that due to the errors and miscommunication of instructions, it’s gonna be on my credit report. The lady says that maybe they can update the info of the deferment after everything is received, but I really want to double check and make sure before I be in default and have my credit ruined.
Should I call the credit people or should I just not worry too much about it?

Don’t waste your time calling the credit bureaus. They only collect what is reported to them. There is nothing they can do to keep your loan from being reported as late.
Concentrate on getting all the paperwork in and the creditor will be the one you have to deal with to get any late report removed.
