No there is no limit for inschool deferment as along as you keep at least a half time status at the school. Other deferments like unemployment or hardship deferments do have limits but you wont have to look at those until you enter repayment and if you need them. Also remember that unsub Stafford loans do accrue interest and although you are not required to make payments on the interest while in school the more interest that accrues and is not paid the more it will be added to the loan thus increasing the principal and the loan payment when you do finsih school and your 6 months (or 9 mnths for the Perkins loan) grace period.

Most federal loans will defer your payments until you're done with school, but I'm not sure about other types of loans.

Good Luck!

I don't believe so. As long as you meet the required number of credit hours you should be fine. Just stay in school forever and then you'll NEVER have to pay them back, hehe.

And you wouldn't believe the myriad of ways you can postpone paying off student loans. When mine went into repayment after I graduated there was a list of reasons I could list about why I couldn't pay it right now. I opted to be a good girl and just start paying!
