I have student loans in deferment, I want to know: if I make payments will this booste my credit score?

Your score will go up very slowly by making payments on time—about 3-5 point per month as long as the account is current.

Payments on student loans will improve your credit some, because you are paying on open accounts, and your payment is being reported every month
