I would really like to buy a home, and receive the first time home buyers tax credit. Only my credit score is 589, and my bank gives out loans to 620 and above.

The way things are now? Not a chance. The banks lost their butts giving out loans to people such as your self. They aren’t going to make the same mistake all over again.

More than likely, you’re not going to find a lender in this economy unless you have at least 20% to put down. A year or two ago, you would have been okay…but not now. More than likely another bank will loan out to that credit score….but again…only with a lot of cash down. More than likely, you’ll end up with an FHA loan if you get approved….here’s their website. It’ll help you find out what you need to qualify. Good luck.

You really need to give Obama’s economy stimulus a good read. You do qualify for a home if you meet certain requirements. Credit Score does not matter. Sorry I can’t quote anything from it, but don’t count on the banks. You will be taking a loan from the Government. Just go to the White House site and follow the links there. Don’t google any other crap cause you have to be aware of predatory lenders. Good luck to you my friend!

Contact a mortgage broker. They work with a variety of lenders and can shop around for you. Be prepared with a down payment and to pay a higher interest rate as you are a bigger risk by virtue of your credit score.

SCAM ALERT.
Legitimate companies don’t use @yahoo or @live or something similar for their email.
If legit it would be @[the companies name and/or website name]

You don’t have to have a PERFECT score to get a loan.
Just makes it easier and gets you lower rates and fees.
