make all of your credit card payments, cell phone payments, car payments, etc. have three major name credit cards with as high limits as you can have and keep them open for 3 years or longer. Once all of your credit accounts are paid more than half off and no late payments within 1 year, then your credit will gradually get better.

You should try to go through freecreditreport.com and pull your credit to see what you have. When you do that, it will register you for one of the credit agencies or all 3 if you choose. You will have to pay a monthly fee to monitor your credit, but it will be worth it. I only paid like 12 bucks a month. Once you get to that website of credit bureau, experian etc. you can dispute anything on your credit online and they will do the rest. If you need to pay some things off, do that in whatever amounts you can and every month your credit score will be updated and you can see the difference it makes month to month.

My credit was real bad, under 500 and I couldn’t even get a credit card to use to show that I can clean my credit up. I was able to get a qvc and hsn (home shopping websites) credit card with only $200 credit limit and I would only charge cheap stuff and pay it off and I would get email updates when my credit score changed. I kept the credit cards for 6 months and closed them. I monitored my credit for only about a year and watched my score go the the mid 600′s.

Sorry for the long story but if you can, try that out and see how it works… even a couple months couldn’t hurt.

pay all your debts, it takes time. I had really good credit until I became unemployed for two years & it went in the toilet. I paid all my previous debts and kept only one card (famous barr), it took three year but I did it. now my credit score is higher than my wifes and she has always paid every thing on time. I also do not carry a ballance more than two months on any card any more.

1st if you have a Credit Report that shows delinquent accounts over 5years ,don’t open a Pandora box by try to make contact..this will cause the accounts to go back to 1year start again after 7years your delinquent accounts are closed..called at lost to the loaner…pay anything that is under 5years old…but make sure you can do this

Surprise Surprise :-) The first step is to pay everything on time.

But being in the mortgage industry I can attest to the fact that there are many many mistakes on credit reports, and you have an absolute right to dispute them.

First, you need to know what is on your report.
Second, you need to know how to deal with the bureaus.

Go here and you’ll be able to get real estate loan information, free credit report, and a free credit repair manual.

Best of luck

This is something you can do for only the cost of postage and some time writing. There are too many things to include in this short amount of space.
