How can I reduce my interest on a private student loan ? I have AES loan with 8.73% on 11,000?

I am wondering if there are any loan companies out there with a lower interest rate that I can transfer this amount to. 8.730% is just ridiculous and the loan company seems to increase the rate whenever they want.

If you have a house as a collateral then it may be possible.
Call your student loan company to see if they can lower the rate.
