I quote from the 2007 edition of the consumer Action Handbook ” A lot of credit repair companies advertise that they can erase bad credit for a heft fee. Don’t believe them. If the information is accurate, only time, hard work and a personal repayment plan will improve your credit score”.

Yeah, I used a credit repair service and they worked out really well. I would recommend them to anyone because in less than a year my score went way up, and I can now get a credit card if I need one. I’m much smarter with my money and credit now, it totally raised my awareness and knowledge on how to keep my score high.

I was told that they are just as harmful to your credit as a bankruptcy. I don’t know if they work. We went ahead with the bankruptcy because the debt was so great and if it is going to look just as bad on a credit report then we are wiping it out. Good luck though whatever you do. I hope it does work out for you.
