does capital one credit cards raise your credit limit automatically?

All credit card raise your limit. If you are good payer or pay on time or credit score goes up. You may request for it but i would doubt that they would do anything.

i got my first card in november. i then got a letter in the mail that said if i paid on time for three months they would raise it to 1000. then they would raise it another 500 after another 3 months. on the site it says that they review your account periodically for rate increases. you can call them and ask them to raise it though.

they raise it automatically

Most raise it automatically once a year. If you need more before that happens you can call and ask. If you are in good standing they will grant your request. If happens faster if you as to speak with a supervisor
