Do you know who Eugene V. Debs is?
Does this sound like somebody else we all know?
“Eugene V. Debs, as the new leader of the Socialist movement, quickly gained national recognition as a charismatic orator. He was often inflammatory and controversial, but also strikingly modest and inspiring. He once said, “I am not a Labor Leader; I do not want you to follow me or anyone else… You must use your heads as well as your hands, and get yourself out of your present condition.” Debs lent a great and powerful air to the revolution with his speaking. “There was almost a religious fervor to the movement, as in the eloquence of Debs”
No Smith:
He was jailed for obstructing the delivery of U.S. mail.
What do you think would happen to you for obstructing delivery of the U.S. mail? You think you’d get a lolly pop?
Smith:

he was in jail for about year. Big woop!
The last time he was jailed was for creating a general fear of anarchism. Which of itself was over the top, but not unlike the liberal FDR confining hundreds of thousands of Japanese Americans in internment camps.
Personally, he asked for it.

Don’t care. Debs was also imprisoned because of fanatics and zealots such as yourself.
