how very strange. to the best of my knowledge welfare payments are not indigenous to wealth. so how would one go about paying such cards? that answer may border on fraud. also, the cash available on the cards, could be an asset, and that's fraud. The cards in and of themselves are not criminal.

Having the cards isn't illegal, it's if you lie on your application form that's the problem. Don't bite off more than you can chew, it's not worth it in the long run.

You will get in trouble...you are deceiving someone somewhere to have an Amex card but be on welfare. Yes, it is illegal and when (not if) you get caught you can go to jail. it is fraud. THese things are tracked by both the government and credit card companies...you will eventually get caught.

Why do you think that is illegal?

Someone on welfare can charge items and then pay the bill just as someone not on welfare can do.

Now if they are charging and not paying it off, they are digging themselves into a hole, but that has nothing to do with welfare.
